Taking some shots of East London for a separate creative commission yesterday made me realise that no matter how many foreign cities I may explore, this city will always be boundless, with seemingly endless reserves of creativity graffitied onto its walls, pooling in unexpected places. The styles and the textures it offers are paralleled by few other urban landscapes. And areas like Spitalfields and Aldgate in particular bring home to you that, regardless of the fears that Brexit brought on, London's multicultural nature will always be one of its most important strengths.
Moving between Hampstead - where I live now - and East London - I was born in Tower Hamlets -during a single afternoon is thrilling for hardened city-watchers, photographers and flaneurs. London is a city you can truly travel in, swapping cities within the city for a day.
